Before discussing the medical clearance ICD codes you can use, let’s clarify what (medical) clearance means. When we speak of clearance in this context, this could mean any of the following:
- A person is cleared to undergo certain medical procedures (preprocedural examinations)
- A person is cleared to return to work or competition
- A person is cleared to take on certain work because they don’t have any complications that would prevent them from performing well
- A person is cleared to leave rehabilitation or has successfully gone through a therapy program
