To create a behavioral plan template, begin by acquiring informed consent, collecting baseline and FBA/FA data, analyzing the data to identify the function of the behavior, researching appropriate interventions, and finally assembling the plan components.

The seven components of a behavior intervention plan are prevention, replacement behaviors, teaching, positive reinforcement, problem-reducing strategies, and a crisis plan if needed. This plan should be based on the information gathered in the Functional Behavior Assessment.

A behavior plan might include rewarding positive behaviors with reinforcements, like praise and extra break time,e while addressing negative behaviors with consequences, such as detention or loss of privileges. This helps to encourage positive behavior and discourage negative behavior without resorting to punitive measures.
