ASQ 3

The ASQ 3 is used by parents at home to screen their child's development, by healthcare providers like pediatricians during well-child visits, and by early childhood professionals such as teachers and childcare providers to assess children in their programs.

The ASQ-3 can be used at any time, but it is typically utilized between 1 month and 5 ½ years of age. It is divided into 5 age ranges, each with specific assessment criteria.

The ASQ 3 is a parent-report questionnaire covering five developmental areas. Parents answer the questions about their child's development, and the results are scored to determine if the child is developing typically or may be at risk for a developmental delay. The ASQ 3 takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and can identify children who may need further evaluation by a healthcare professional for possible developmental delays.
