Frequently asked questions

Like with any injection, the injection site will be painful and become reddish. If the patient is allergic to the medicine, they will have rashes, experience itching, and have shortness of breath. That's not good, of course. So, if patients start to experience those, please address those immediately. The worst that could happen includes anaphylaxis, diarrhea due to Clostridioides difficile, or they start having seizures.

You'll have to resort to other IV antibiotics that might be less effective than this one. If not those, then oral antibiotics. You'll have to account for the side effects of alternatives, though.

It'll take a few days after being administered for any noticeable reduction of symptoms to occur.
