They will conduct single or group counseling or therapy sessions meant to address social and psychological concerns that an individual and/or their family has. They will also provide resources and referrals to financial aid programs and social support groups, if needed.

This will vary from individual to individual, from family to family. Since counseling and therapeutic services will be provided, the patients and their families will likely have to discuss sensitive topics, which may cause emotional distress, anxiety, and/or stress.
